In 2016 Tyla and I moved from our home in Johannesburg across the country to Cape Town. This was exciting but also an incredibly daunting task that scared us both. We knew it was a risk and we were so terrified. While on Facebook we came across a post by an animal welfare organisation looking to rehome a rescue they called Kiko. Kiko was a tri-pawed as he had one leg amputated. We decided to step in an apply, even though we hadn’t technically moved into our home yet.
Eventually we were approved and that is how Max came into our lives. You can read more of his story here.
The organisation was called Friends of the Rottweiler Rescue and Re-home and it was clear that these people just cared. They really cared about the dogs they were trying to re-home and save. It was clear during our first meetings, during our first meeting of Max, and especially during the support we received when max lost his fight with Cancer.
FRRR go above and beyond to ensure that all dogs receive the homes and the care that they deserve. This is not easy. This has taken a toll on the personal lives and finances of all involved. That is where you come in. Every cent you donate will go to ensure that a Rottie gets the best of the best. We are asking our friends and family to open their hearts and wallets and donate to this amazing organisation.
You can EFT your donations to the following details:
Bank: Standard Bank
